We stayed here with our 4WD club. The park is great! We were in site 141 which had grass at its side. The restrooms and showers were always well kept as well as the grounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is celebrating its 10th anniversary. There are three Wi-Fi connections to choose from in the park and I did not have any issues connecting. Connection speed was great. It is the only RV park in Creede, but a good one. We will return.
This is a nice little park. It is located on the North side of town on Highway 56 at E. Point Rock Street. There are no restrooms or laundry. It is right next to a car wash that is also part of this establishment. It is self-pay. You enter behind the car wash and fill out a payment envelope. The first two rows (1-12) are pull throughs and the last row are back-ins. Each site is nice and wide, covered with pea-gravel with grass between each site. There are some trees, but not positioned to give any shade to the site. Sites have 20,30,50 Amp hookups. This was an overnight stop for us as we visited family in town. There was some mention of internet access on sign at the pay station, but it said to call the campground phone number. Nice quiet place to spend the night.
We chose this park because we were traveling with family who stayed in a cabin at this park. Being frugal, we chose a Standard Back-In site. These sites are on the North end of the park and closer to the highway. These particular sites are packed very close together. The rest of the sites are behind a row of cabins. The patrons of this park totally disregarded the 5 mph speed limit even though it is posted at least 4 times along the row that our site was on. In hind sight, it would probably been worth the extra $2 per night for a Premium Back-In site as they are further away from the highway and spaced further apart. All of the picnic tables and riverfront decks were very weathered or broken. The web site states cable TV as one of the amenities, but is only available in the cabins. The cabin that our family rented was not very clean. In fact, there was still hair in the bathtub drain. When we made reservations, we indicated that we would have a dog staying in the cabin and would be crated inside while we rode the train. The person on the phone offered that they would come and let the dog out in the middle of the day for us. When we arrived, they said that they did not know who told us that and they would not let the dog out. As far as this place being called a "resort", that is a big stretch.
Nice RV park, but the rates are steep for electric only. Also the showers are coin operated. For that price, I would think that use of the showers would be included.
This is a small RV park with paved sites and gravel in between. The spacing of sites is adequate and the staff is very friendly. We really enjoyed all of the trains and figures in the office. I will stay here again when I return to the area.
